Presentation of the research project

The Himalayan Rock Art Database (HiRADa) is one of the Digital Humanities outcomes of the imalayan Rock Art project that complies with FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of digital assets) and relies on the services of the French Platform for Digital Humanities (Huma-NumIR*).

An Illustrated Thesaurus for Himalayan Rock Art was digitally published in 2023 on the Opentheso platform.

The HiRADa dataset was published in 2023 and 2024 on the research repository Nakala where you can access various collections enabling direct access to images and documents by type (illustrations of the thesaurus, photographs, field maps, sketches, annotated aerial images, tracings, reading of rock inscriptions in Tibetan).
