In 2007 a person from the village told us that in the past people from Kargil came to look for gold on the plateau.

Comments on the environment: Right bank of the Indus. Before the flooding there was a modern bridge from Basgo, an ancient path, various developments and structures on the plateau including a hemicycle wall (which crossed the site from northwest to southeast), caves (old mines). From Basgo, going up the Palzampiu tokpo, one arrives at Hundar (Shyok valley) via the Nia pass (5400m).
