Zone information
Zone code: IND-LAD-DAH-Zo01
Dah
Da; Dah; mDa; Dha
About 2 km after Shaktithang village (coming from Khaltse) and 1 km before Dah village. The rocks are grouped and visible from the road. Rocks 1-6 are below the road, the others on the other side.
When we visited in 2006, the inhabitants of the village of Dah knew about the existence of the petroglyphs, partly thanks to the publications of Vohra. Albinia (2008, p.277) reports: the engravings are carved by the Iliproo 'fairies who, if you meet them on the road at night, will give you your heart's desire, money if you need money, children if you need children'.
